Price - Wall-mounted fixtures tend to be on the more expensive side of things; especially if you want them with lots of features like sprayers or pull-down hoses.
Installation - If you're not comfortable installing plumbing items yourself, hiring a professional to install it can be expensive.
Why not just go with a deck-mounted faucet instead?
Unlike wall-mounted models, deck mount fixtures need to be installed on top of your countertop or sink which can take up valuable space in your bathroom or kitchen. These types of faucets also require more clearance to open up the spout or pull down the handle. They are not ideal for small bathrooms where space is at a premium!
How To Install A Wall Mounted Faucet In 3 Easy Steps!
1. Prep your work area - Disconnect the supply tubes and turn off the water supply valves under your sink. Remove the existing faucet.
2. Needed Tools - A wrench, loose washers, silicone adhesive or plumber's tape, Teflon tape, adjustable wrench, foam pipe insulation, screwdriver.
3. Install the new faucet - Mount your mounting bracket to the wall by drilling holes through it with a power drill. Don't forget to use a wall anchor if you are not installing it in drywall! Follow manufacturer instructions for mounting their specific faucet.
Once mounted, place the faucet body on top of it and secure it with screws, using your adjustable wrench.
Next, connect the supply tubes to the existing water lines under your sink with a wrench or channel locks. Apply silicone adhesive or plumber's tape around the end of each tube.
Finally, screw the faucet handles to the front of the fixture. Then, give it a test run!
